Ailen Cruz Named Shareholder At Guerra & Partners
The law firm of Guerra & Partners is pleased to announce that Ailen Cruz has been named a shareholder of the Firm. A double Gator, Ailen graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 2010 and cum laude from Florida’s Levin College of Law in 2013. During law school, Ailen was a member of the Jessup Moot Court, was a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy, served as an ambassador for the Introduction to Law School and the Profession, was an officer in the Law Association for Women, and mentored underprivileged children through the Law Mentoring Program.
Ailen focuses her practice on litigation and arbitration of business disputes and representation of clients in regulatory matters, with a focus on the financial services industry. Ailen represents brokerage firms, financial institutions, and their associated persons in the federal and state courts, in arbitration, and before the various agencies that regulate the securities industry, including FINRA, the SEC, and state regulatory agencies.
Ailen has been recognized as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers since 2022. She is a member of the William Reece Smith, Jr. Litigation American Inn of Court and has served as the co-chair for the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers Young Lawyers’ Division since 2021. She has served on the boards of directors of various community organizations, including the Carrollwood Area Business Association and Tampa Crossroads, Inc. Ailen was selected to the HCBA’s Leadership Academy in 2017-2018 and Tampa Connection in 2018-2019. She is also active in other local bar and professional associations, including the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, and Southeastern Women in Financial Services. Ailen has devoted hundreds of hours during her career to pro bono matters and served as an attorney ad litem through Crossroads for Florida Kids. Ailen is the co-chair of Guerra & Partners’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.
