Chemere Ellis Serves As Panelist At The National Black Law Student Association’s Annual Convention

Chemere Ellis served as a panelist at the Southern Region National Black Law Student Association’s (SRBLSA) 52nd Regional Convention on February 2, 2023. The theme of the convention was, “The Future Is Now,” and it consisted of panel discussions and career development programming for law students. Alongside other esteemed panelists, including State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Monique Worrell, Chemere discussed her role as a former prosecutor for over seven years and its impact on her professional development as a securities and commercial litigator. Chemere tackled difficult topics on race and gender discrimination and challenged students to explore nonconventional career paths for African Americans in the legal field.

The National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA) is the largest law student-run organization in the United States and offers programming, leadership, and other opportunities for its members. SRBLSA is the largest of NBLSA’s six regions. Guerra & Partners proudly supports its mission, which is to increase the number of culturally responsible black and minority attorneys who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.
