Jury Trial Win For Guerra & Partners' Broker Dealer Client

Guerra & Partners attorney, George Guerra, successfully defended a claim against a broker-dealer for refusing to execute a trade that had been confirmed in error.  The plaintiff, a hedge fund, sought approximately $600,000 in damages and interest. It also sought attorneys’ fees and costs for the purported breach of contract. The Pinellas County jury’s unanimous defense verdict will now allow the broker-dealer to recover its attorneys’ fees from the plaintiff.
